It’s finally (officially) announced. Probably nothing new mentioned that we don’t already know but it does solidify How to Train Your Dragon, Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, and Dark Universe as well as a few other details.

I’m surprised universal is building another Potter world, but I guess why change if it works. The dark universe seems like they really planned their monster cinematic universe to take off, but since it hasn’t they reworked it for “the classics”, but I believe that’s a better approach regardless, it will be more timeless.

Overall looking forward to checking this out once it’s complete, it’s crazy to think that universal might out-theme Disney with this one.

Harry Potter is such a huge draw that it makes perfect sense. I know people that go to Universal solely because of Harry Potter and without expanding into Epic they probably wouldn’t get a fair amount of those people over to those parks.

Interesting thoughts about Dark Universe… that could all be true. Though I think the classic monsters have always had a pretty large fanbase that continues.

My biggest concern is how they are going to price this park. I really hope they keep things sane because that’s been one of the biggest draws to Universal over Disney. IMHO both Universal and Disney are on a very equal level when it comes to immersion and theme.
