Still working for NJPW. Rocky Dos-Bags.

Edit: I guess Rocky Tres-Bags cause he probably doing the same job for CMLL.

I typed a whole big thing about this and then kbin ate it on me.

    TLDR:

    • I’m happy for Rocky
    • r/NJPW melting down

As much as I love NJPW, that sub is just too embarrassing to browse half the time.
Claiming TK stole everyone just because unlike Bushiroad he’s actually willing to open up his chequebook during contract negotiations.

i don’t get why they’d be melting down since this is literally better for the talent and relations between not just njpw and aew but also cmll and aew

The Reddit portion of the IWC (especially the NJPW fans) view every person who leaves NJPW as Tony’s fault. Like when Jay’s contract was up and was 50-50 between AEW and WWE and to this day they still blame AEW for “stealing” him (and anyone else you can name). He coulda shown up on Raw and they’d still whine about Tony lmao. fucking embarrassing at this point.

            Yup!

Also just updated: “Just so people know, he’s still working for New Japan,” Meltzer clarified on Wrestling Observer Radio."

So that means he’s done with New Japan, I guess?

Seems like a lot of change is happening in the wrestling world, in both the US and Japan. It’s honestly kind of exciting.

Doubt it tbh. He’s been the prime guy doing the intl communications and facilitations since Hattori retired, and it’s not like him being under contract to TK would interfere with his duties. Hell he’s already been working bts for AEW to help facilitate NJPW guys coming in, and the Mexico guys so this is probably like hellothere said, him getting a 2nd contract. As far as wrestling goes he’s been a bit everywhere so it’s not like he’ll lose ring time in NJPW either.
