Ok hear me out. Lots of people complaining about billionaires.

I get it. They have a lot of money. They don’t always give it away unless it’s to avoid taxes.

Just taking money from billionaires feels wrong

What if instead we took a random drawing and just sacrificed one per year?

So this way they would be incentivised to donate money. But if they wanted to risk it they could try.

Maybe our corn crops would grow better too.

So not to long ago someone asked on reddit if every billionaire in the world gave their money to everyone, the math came out to everyone getting 1056.00 dollars each.

No I don’t think so. And my reasoning is, if you were to compare 3rd world countries to ours, or even some poor ppl in the US, they consider people just doing ‘better’ then them, ‘rich’

I just put myself in the situation with what I have and worked for, and l wouldn’t agree that there is justice or whatever, for killing someone who has more then you.

That’s actually more than I thought. That is meaningful money. I honestly don’t think anyone NEEDS 1 billion dollars and if you really could cash it out like that I would.

But in reality most of that wealth can’t be liquidated. It would take decades.

There is a conscious choice required to become a billionaire which amounts to exploring workers in order to achieve excess gains. And there’s a choice made when deciding to keep that wealth to yourself. Both choices here are being judged not simply the amount that one has gained.

No. Maybe just restrict them from influencing our lives. If we spread every billionaire’s money like Alice suggested there would be a massive inflation.

Everybody will get automatically $1000/year. For some that amount might be small but for others it might be life changing. Now everybody expects to get those 1000 bucks every year so everybody works less expecting to get that amount of money. Everybody works less and value of stuff goes up because it is harder to find workers.

Remember what happened with all the mcdonalds when the government gave everybody free $1500?

Also, as Kapow and I am pro life

Do you even math? $1,000 for every person on earth is about $8,000,000,000,000 (that’s 8 Trillion). That’s 57x Bezos’ net worth. But about half of Jeff’s net worth is tied up in Amazon stocks that can only be sold in small amounts, so that money is largely untouchable. Even assuming the other half of his net worth is liquid, you’d need to completely pillage 114 Jeff Bezos to give everyone on earth $1,000.

which god would you sarcifice them to and how? throw them in volcano?

We don’t really need a deity for the sacrifice. You could I guess for theatrics. It would have to be live streamed to be effective. Volcano is fine I guess
