Ads in the greeter. lightdm-gtk-greeter does neither of these things. Ads in my menu along “news and interests” dmenu simply searches my applications. Don’t even get me started on the themes either. Now that proton has brought steam into the mix windows no longer makes sense for gaming rigs, only office chuds who think computers are magic.
