I originally got a RP2+, then a 3, then the 3+ PCB upgrade, then eventually just got the OLED deck. I still adore the design, quality, and concept of the Retroid devices, but ultimately I needed something bigger and comfier in my hands, and easier on my eyes.
The 3 was actually pretty decent when it came out. It was a massive upgrade from the 2+ in terms of form and features, just not in power. However, the 3+ came out just like a month or two later, and it did have a jump in both power as well as battery life. It rendered the 3 obsolete pretty much immediately.
These days I think the 4 pro looks absolutely perfect for everything I originally wanted out of a retroid device short of an OLED display. I just don’t have a need for one anymore now that I’ve got a deck.

I heard the 3 was a wreck.
I got a retroid cos it fit m budget perfectly. If I had cash to burn I’d get a deck or something.
Retroid devices are nice but they would benefit from a non pocket line.
I’m not saying do an ayaneo and make one every other day but 2 lines, pocket and something more comparable to the deck in shape would be nice
