The entrati armcannon doesn’t really seem to live up to its hype - the normal fire is just slow rifle-like fire with no aoe or punch through and the incarnon mode seems to be a big short lived beam with low damage, short range and width, and can only fire a few times before running out of charge.
Am I missing something, like how to build it, or is it really underwhelming?
So I had the same first impression (and I’m still not sold on it, tbh), but I just did some testing, and here’s some things:
- the punch-through evolution works on both modes
- fire rate mods/evo make it feel a lot better
- the last evo that gives crit per/stack in incarnon mode (devastation cascade) seems to be the key, paired with…
- a grouping ability like pull, airburst, or bastille is super helpful
- a lot of builds I saw used ruinous extension, as well, to help hit more targets; if you’re not using a grouping ability, this might be helpful, but otherwise, I’m not sure if it makes a big difference
I feel better about it than I did, but there’s plenty of less fussy weapons I’d rather use instead. Maybe I’m missing something, too?
Hmm maybe, I don’t have all the incarnon upgrades yet so it could feel better later on. I still feel like a lot of stars have to properly align in order for the incarnon mode to actually feel powerful, otherwise it’s just meh - especially if you compare it to something like lex incarnon which seems better in pretty much every way.
It’s okay. I don’t mind the fire rate after putting on 2 fire rate mods and the incarnon fire rate increase. The DPS is a little too low for me to use all the time.
The biggest problem is the aiming. The arm is in the way of the reticle.
Damage is good, but the style of fire sucks in my opinion. I was excited to finally add a non-kitgun secondary to my rotation, but unfortunately it’s not getting any more than the one forma I’ve already put into it.
It feels like a higher crit Lex Prime.
