Maybe you mainly type with your left thumb, if you even type with your thumbs at all. My right thumb does most of the work when typing, and I hit the period button 9/10 times and have done so since probably my first iPhone.

Then try single-tapping it. Both work for me, but the single tap is extremely inconsistent. Sometimes it’s impossible to move the typing indicator because it keeps highlighting whatever word is closest, other times it works first try. But I can definitely still highlight words in both ways.
Just use Siri or speech to text if you’re that lazy lmao.
People say this every year after the new iPhones come out.
Have you updated to the newest version of iOS? I had slightly similar issues - not quite the same, and they went away with an update. My phone was nowhere near as bad as what you described, though, so maybe yours is actually defective.
It’s just a waste of money. Just buy a case off of eBay for a few dollars.
No, I delete my alarms as soon as I’m done with them. I only keep the 3-4 alarms I need. I hate clutter.
Yeah exactly. Personally I set my search engine to DuckDuckGo, but I still use Google 99% of the time by starting my search with !g, so even if I hit a few periods, my search usually goes through fine.
Yeah exactly. I do agree that it’s extremely annoying when typing in the address bar, but that’s about it. Not a huge deal to me.
The period next to the space bar only appears in Safari, I don’t see how that’s such a big deal to you. It is annoying as hell, but just how often are you typing things in Safari? There’s no period next to space in iMessage or Reddit or any other non-browser app that I can think of. Weird how you titled your post “its keyboard is shockingly bad” and then you go on to mention one tiny thing that doesn’t make the keyboard as a whole bad.
Funny guy
Can you not wear glasses or contacts? Or is legally blind too bad for any of those options? Honest question.
Read what it says, it literally tells you.
It isn’t. People in these comments have zero clue as to what they’re talking about. Sideloading is no worse than downloading a program on your computer. If you use your brain, you won’t get a virus. What a surprise!
You can! You don’t even need to wait or pay for anything, you can have PPSSPP and any other emulator on your phone in a matter of minutes.
You won’t get that even if you sideload, lol. Have fun paying a monthly fee to be able to watch YouTube videos without being bombarded by cancerous ads, though! I’m enjoying the ad-free experience with my sideloaded YouTube app, all the while being “break-in”-free since the day I first downloaded an emulator.
No, it’s not. I don’t think you really know anything about sideloading if you think it’s right.
I’ve sideloaded for 10 years or so and my phone has not been infected. It’s not that dangerous. Clearly most of the comments here have no experience or knowledge about sideloading.
Because some people refuse to pay for YouTube Premium just to be able to watch videos or listen to music on YouTube. Some people want to download emulators. Others might want to be able to save videos and stories from apps like Tiktok or Instagram. Just because you don’t understand it doesn’t mean there’s no reason.
Back gesture exists, though. It works in all the apps I use regularly. Which apps do you find it to not work in?
