Yes you can run xfce on lmde. I installed the xfce from repos and it works great with lmde.

I bought a kindle 4 back when it first came out. I hacked it with duokan so i could put epubs on it. I never put it online and just sideload books on it with Calibre. Still going strong except battery is getting a little weak.

Nothing wrong with Iceraven. It gets updates regularly. I use it on all my android devices.

Been using Izzy apps for years. Never had a problem.

The only other custom filter i have set up is the AdGuard Annoyances filter.

I use Iceraven with Ublock origin and have the bypass paywalls clean filter in my list. It opened this article with no problem.
