I think there’s too much emphasis on primitive weapons as hunting and not enough on just walking until the thing dies (which wolves are also suited). Just relentless stalking, even if we’ve lost a limb we had to cut off our own body. Humans are like the monster in a slasher movie
51·11 months agoAlso if someone commits a felony (serious dangerous crime) and someone dies as a result, you can be charged with murder. I learned from Batman comics that if two people steal a car and the driver hits someone, both can be charged with murder.
3·11 months agoWe would say, “go for (name)” at work over the handheld radio, never heard of anyone using this on the phone. Sometimes I’d get bored and say “go for Zap Rowsdower” or whatever

Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter is about intelligent nobility and mostly rich guys doing good things whereas D&D has always been about dirtbags trying to scam a buck. It has more in common with Conan, Jack Vance’s Dying Earth, Fafhrd and Grey Mouser, Elric of Melniboné (and outright stolen concepts from everywhere).
Yeah the new one is great, I was afraid they’d water-down any violence or horror too much. Didn’t make a lot of money :(
I guess with how well the terrorists taught us this lesson, means that we’d be even more better at it. We even learned about something called a ‘Boston Tea Party’ when we were little!
