If it is core i3, it won’t be enough for mostly everything in 2023, it was ok in 2020, but not now really, if it is core i5, then you’ll be fine for light tasks

Basically, from what I’ve read about this Mac, the i5 is the same as i3 in single-core tasks, while it is better for multi-core. In 2023 there is really no pint in buying Mac on i3, even for web-browsing. You can check what chip you have in “ -> About this Mac” section. As for the price, I can’t really tell you as I don’t know where are you from, if from US, then on Apple website Air on M1 is from 999$, Air on M2 is from 1099$. I would say that a good price for i5 is about 700$ (I am not from US so maybe I’m completely wrong)
Thank you, wise words, I had doubts but now I feel that I made a right choice and there were no need to spend more. Enjoying my new Mac and happy to become a part of a community. It is so much more comfortable to use than a Windows machine))
Thank you, the words that needed to be heard, after the euphoria of the new device subsided a bit, I started to have my doubts, but now I feel like I made a right choice, especially since the best MacBook is the one you own, not the one in the shop))
Enjoy your new machine ! Despite that some may say like “M2 is better, better to take Pro model”, don’t listen, this is now your Mac and I know how is it to start having doubts about new purchase (happed to me as I got myself basic M3 MBP with 8 gb of ram). So be sure that YOU are the one who likes this laptop, not anyone else. Again, enjoy your new Mac !
