Some DSA branches are way more radical than national, but those cities probably have actual communist parties you can join.
Ethan Klein is awful but he got her to call herself “low value” by her own misogynistic standards, and that was pretty funny.
What of the people who lived in Crimea prior to 2014? No peace for them? I thought these were supposed to be Ukrainians living under occupation, why is their own country threatening them?
Latenna is my bestie who watches over me from high up that cliff right at the edge of the summoning zone.
I went arcane with dual whips and just rolled everything without trouble.
The game gives you two hoslow petal whips in one run for a reason. Occult bleed whips feels so good right up until the bosses stop bleeding.
Last night we played Fiasco instead, doing a story about a couple of werewolves and vampires trying to be roommates. Real fun, real funny.
One of my gaming friends is being very silly. A few years ago, my bf’s ex broke up with him. She was a part of our gaming group, and it was a pretty messy breakup for a lot of reasons. However, it was years ago and she and bf have been friends since childhood, so they made up as friends and things are cool again. They’re besties, me and her are good friends, everything is peachy.
Right now she’s visiting from out of town and staying with us, so we invited her to game night as a “special guest star” in our Pathfinder game, as is custom with visiting friends. Except not, because one of our players has decided that they will not game with her anymore. They’d rather stay home from game night, than to play with someone they had no real prior relationship with but has disliked since the breakup. They’re taking it harder than my bf, even years later!
It’s frustrating, like buddy she has done you no wrong and literally everyone else in our game group is friends with her again, come roll dice with us.
Most figs you get in the store are not pollinated by fig wasps.
Was recently talking about this with a friend who gets this from her doctor and is paying out the ass even with insurance, and another whose doctor refuses to prescribe it because “there is a shortage”. Semaglutide is like $40 for a 5ml vial from Chinese labs (that’s about 2 weeks at the highest dose), but we are trained to be afraid of self-medding or even talking to doctors about sourcing our meds outside of “official” pharmacies.
The cost of pharmaceuticals is so artificial. A vial of estrogen is like…hundreds of dollars if you buy it from a pharmacy, like $65 if you get it from a Brazilian weeb, and cheap as hell if you buy raws from china and compound them yourself? Makes no sense.
I thought Crimes was supposed to be Ukrainian. Why is Ukraine using cluster munitions on their own civilians???
I am hosting a friend from out of town, which has been negatively impacting my ability to play lots of Elden Ring.
Milady with the wing stance is so much fun and I can’t wait to lose with it in the Colosseum.
First experience was getting clowned on by a naked dude with bear claws. The lion boss was a lot of fun, liked the music. Got to a second boss, the carian knight with the two swords. Fun fight and I keep getting close, but it’s bedtime.
The invasions and npc-type enemies are way too hard compared to everything else. I wanna find more new weapons (I only have one of the perfume bottles). I like how the bosses have NPC assists (especially since I crash when summoning golds).
I’m playing dual occult hoslow whips with arcane. Bleed is still good. I hope I can make a good arcane or faith martial arts build, those looks cool.
Nothing too bad, he just ended up a (prominent, genre-pioneering) youtuber instead of a film director and he seems to feel greatly ashamed about that.
It’s a really good video https://youtu.be/rokAtlFGa7Y
Fiasco is my favorite - you can adapt it to so many kinds of stories, as long as it’s a Coen-brothers-esque disaster. Lots of laughs all around.
Haven’t had a chance to play it myself, but I’ve also heard lots of good things about Goblin Quest
Monster of the Week is pretty simple to play and run in my experience. My group sometimes uses it for one-shots when one of us is out of town because you can whip up characters and stories real quickly.
A little oddball and not really a typical ttrpg, but Fiasco is a lot of fun for practicing those RP chops. No GM, just collaborative storytelling with a structure to ensure that whatever it is your character is trying to set up goes disastrously, for themselves or someone else.
DnD 5e is also a great beginner system, if you have one really experienced player willing to DM and bear the weight of the (lack of) rules upon their mighty shoulders like Atlas. Very very easy as a player, but needs a good DM to make a lot of rulings on things the game rules don’t actually cover.
Do you have an idea of what setting you want to play in, and is anyone willing to be GM and guide the story or would you prefer a setting where you all get to be players (those exist!)?
Or in this case, the well-documented genocide they were simultaneously supporting in East Timor. Chomsky doubted refugee claims without evidence, which is a horrific crime.
When I mentioned that witness testimonies can be politically-motivated and unreliable (as in Xinjiang), they started Zenzposting about how well-documented the “forced labor prison camps” are
This is where so much of the “DLC too hard” complaints come from. Without scooby snacks, even high level characters will get wrecked by the first few bosses.
