The problem is that the same companies are probably supplying Ukraine too. Ukraine is constantly playing a very finicky political game.

It’s not that surprising once you know that their goal is to be completely independent for their US for their military equipment.

It includes the nuclear bomb, missiles, fighter jet, aircraft carrier, submarines, even space capabilities (even if this last part has been lacking a bit lately).

They don’t have the US military budget but they want the same level of technology without any ties to the US.

It means that they are exporting a lot to compensate for the high investments they are pouring into military technology.

Here is the share of global arms export per country.

Germany, Italy and the UK are also big exporters but still behind France.

France’s military industry is having wet dreams thinking about it.

If the US pulls out of NATO France becomes the biggest arms exporter of NATO and I would expect other countries will become less enthusiastic at the idea of buying US weapons systems.

The wings are crazy ! They look way too flimsy for what they do.

It is not really to cross marshy ground but more to spot it and avoid it.

It also helps to keep an eye on all the sheep despite all the tall grass around them.

A good way can be to keep the same amount of mandated parking minimum but allows that up to x% (30%, 50%, 90% ?) of this parking can be replaced with secured bike parking (with precise specification on what is a secured bike parking, the same way as there is specifications for a car parking spot width, length …).

This way this gives a choice, either the shop owner decide to ~save a fuckton of money on land and construction cost~ be environmentaly friendly and build bike parking instead of car parking spot, or he can still spend money on a huge parking lot if he is really against bike.

Get a good quality bike with standard components and you should be able to repair it easily.

As other said avoid cheap low cost bike but also very high end bike that are more likely to use proprietary parts.

For the frame the best option would be steel, if it does break you can easily weld it back with a regular welder.

Aluminum is the second best option, a bit lighter but it will fatigue, so over the years the frame will wear out slightly.

Carbon is the worst for reparability, very fragile and impossible to repair.
