The Princess Bride is the book I hated, even though I love the movie. The book was so insistent on reminding you, whenever you got engrossed in the story, that it was only fiction and you shouldn’t really care about the characters.

I have not forgiven the teacher who made me read Johnny Got His Gun in 10th grade. As you compared these two books, I know I shall not read this one. So thank you.
