I don’t think any amount of skill can get you there for free. The game is literally programmed to get harder and harder until you wait 24h or pay some money (after which point it will actually make itself easier than normal for a while to give you that dopamine hit and train you like pavlovs dog) The game does have impossible configurations and you’d run up against those regardless of skill.

  • So my build largely focuses on using her 4, I have tried nuking with her 1/4 but her 4 on its own is so powerful that it doesn’t really come up much. Range directly increases the AOE size of glory (with or without alt fire) and past a certain point glory can fully sustain her 2 because it has so much range that the 10% tag rate becomes enough due to all the overlapping hits. last I checked her 1 can’t currently trigger archon intensify though thats likely a bug.

The basic options for magic are:

    • Sorcerers: Magic blood line or other innate gift of birth. Basically magic aristocracy.
    • Wizards: Usually anyone can be a wizard, its the magic equivelent of studying hard in college.
    • Warlocks: Anyone can be a warlock if they’re willing to make a deal with the devil; the magic equivelent of dropping out to become a stripper.

Pretty much every fantasy has the magical aristocracy but the latter two are available to regular people in a lot of fantasies too, though wizardry is often gatekept and magical pacts tend to be for villains only.

  • I’m not sure if the plot thread ever went anywhere (I mostly liked 40k to read the lore in the codexes and buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo this was years ago) but the Tau were kind of being propped up by the dark eldar who would frequently and seemingly benevolently swoop in to save them from various threats like tyranid invasions with some omanous price implied to be paid at a later time.

  • Reall liking the new weapon frameworks though I haven’t rolled any new overclocks yet. The drillevator is probably my favourite defense type objective though it can get hairy in rival presence missions without a gunner or the perk that lets you force it to release you. The core stone event is cool though fairly easy to trivialize.

    • Driller: commit warcrimes, win.
    • Gunner: hang out on a zipline and shoot the crystal, run around it in circles when it needs breaking, win.
    • Scout: zipline around and shoot the crystal, run around it in circles when it needs breaking, win
    • Engineer: place turrets by crystal, run for your life while they shoot the crystal, run around it in circles when it needs breaking, win.
