Exactly. I posted on a sub talking about the fact I thought the covid lock downs went too far (ironically enough I’m actually a junior doctor as well) and just from this one comment where I did not say anything remotely controversial immediately got banned from about 50 unrelated subreddits. Now I’m usually not too fussed but I just thought it was ridiculous that I can be banned from posting on r/cutepics or whatever because of one comment.
However I’m a bit worried with lemmy about the defederation thing and would like to know how it’s different from this.
Justchill.tv (be aware it does ask for discord/Google sign in so just use a burner account of some kind)
What extensions do this? Are they on android browsers as well?

Honest I’m happy all this has happened. It helped me out of my reddit addiction. Helped me realise there are alternatives out there that are way less toxic (in my opinion) and much more closely resemble the old school forums that are what I originally became addicted to via reddit etc.
Hello from lemmy UK. So I came here after recent api changes having used RIF for about 10 years. However finding that I hadn’t realise how incrementally shite reddit had gotten over the years. This feels so much like old school discussion forums. Feeling excited for the future and will be staying here.
How ddi you get banned from reddit?
