  • I highly recommend NPC D&D from the same guys from Viva la Dirt League.

They do a lot of sketch comedy based around games on their main channel, especially about mmos with their “Epic NPC man” series, and they used the same universe from their skits as the setting for their D&D games, which has been awesome.

They’re super fun to watch and their DM is amazing as well. They even do little skits dressed as their characters in every episode, about any interesting moments from their table session!

I also like how they release episodes in weekly, bite sized, edited 30min videos, which i find much easier to consume than your average 3+ hours unedited dnd podcast.

It is truly a gem and i’ve no idea how they’re not more popular.

  • They do and i am, lots of games have this problem, which doesn’t make it less of a problem.

Though my point was mainly that the fact that “nothing actually happens if you wait” isn’t the issue, but rather the fact that it doesn’t make sense for your character not to always priorize the main quest.

I haven’t played fo4 because they neutered the dialogue, but in 3 there are similar stakes with you trying to find your father, and although that game isn’t perfect about this either, there are times where the lead gets colder, and others where it’s hotter, this counts as a shift of tension like i mentioned.
