First boomer shooter that held mine to completion all the way through. I tend to have trouble navigating them and get lost frequently. The signposting in this one was great. Sometimes with literal signs, sometimes with creative use of colors and lighting. Since I played on game pass I’ll probably pick this up.

They probably are, but they decided to make it over in a new engine. Since they have to port the gameplay mechanics over anyways, why not release a remastered version of the original to help fund development of the next one.

The simple reality of the situation is it was a business decision by Sony. They saw this groundswell of potential players to add to their huge database of people to market to, and said “we’re getting those email addresses”. If I had to venture a guess, the higher-ups at Arrowhead are probably livid and pushed back. They get zero out of this change and they have to deal with the fallout. It’s likely part of the publishing agreement.

That said Sony knew this would happen, if probably not to this degree. Maybe they post a solemn jpeg talking about how they “fell short of expectations”. Being Sony it’s likely that they just ignore the backlash. Their projections say they’ll make more money with all that new data than they’ll lose on some half-hearted boycott. Gamers are notoriously horrid at sticking to that shit. And you know what? That next battle pass is gonna sell just fine even if the vocal folks don’t buy it.

Yes, it sucks and it’s reasonable to be annoyed. Yes, many loud people on the internet are acting like a helldiver kicked down their door and demanded a kidney. Yes, only one party gains from this and it’s Sony. These things aren’t mutually exclusive. No need for argument imo.

Great band. Jump rope gazers was my wedding song. They attract a weirdly mixed crowd. Small pits start and older people nearby are like “please no, my back can’t.”

Could be rust or some minerals that ended up on the bottom. Try boiling a mix of vinegar and water and see if it wipes off after. I’d keep using it anyways though, nothing to worry about.

Theres a killer arcade called Freeplay in Providence. One fee <$10 to get in and all the games are set to free play. Great pinball selection if you’re into that. Cheap beer and okish food while you’re there. 21+ most days.

Chilluminati. Jesse Cox who was previously on co-optional with Total Biscuit talks paranormal, internet stories and true crime. Jesse is a skeptic, his stoner co-host is way too into it and the third guy is neutral and just kind of laughs at it all. Better than it should be due to the balance.

I managed to quit smoking by vaping about 6 years ago. For the most part a cigarette is a cigarette, but I was buying juice so I could control the level of nicotine. Started at 12, then to 6, 3 and finally 1.5 strength. Took about a year.

When I was at 1.5 I had a real bad chest cold so I put it down, never picked it back up. Vaping really helped me because I could quit without withdrawal of any kind. I worry about the prefilled convenience store pods because it doesn’t seem like you get that level of control to ween yourself off the nicotine.

Journey to the strange planet. I had a ton of fun playing that but I quit right before the final boss. Came back to it a month or so later and the final boss is a boss rush. Not that difficult, but I forget which items you use to beat them all (they’re all weak to one item). I basically have to learn the game again to beat it.
