I feel if anything good is going to come from Kane’s departure, it’s going to be others in the team feeling that desire to step up collectively and hopefully we’ll see more team performances like this, as the focus shifts from a single exceptional talent to the collective group of players.

I still believe we need a true striker to replace Kane, however. I’m not convinced by Richarlison and Son seems off the boil compared to a couple of seasons ago.

@hallenbeck @coys @spurs I think some people are way too anxious about our goalkeeper 1 game into the season, in a league that’s brand new to him.

He’s known as a solid shot stopper and he’s shown signs of that. He needs to build up some confidence, particularly on the ball, and show us what he can do. I think he’ll improve if given the time and match minutes.

I get that a lot of people wanted Raya and there will undoubtedly be comparisons, but at least give him time in this league first.

@peterme @hallenbeck @coys @spurs We’ll see, but Bayern splashing £100m+ on Kane is, if nothing else, a pretty huge statement of intent right there. They certainly didn’t buy him to focus on the Bundesliga.

I guess it remains to be seen whether or not he’d go on to regret that. Can’t help but think if he helped propel Bayern to a CL win and picked up that level of silverware he’d see sacrificing that record as worth it.

@Typeo @ali_g I’d be shocked if Kane doesn’t end up back at Spurs to finish his career. He’s still got that all-time Premier League record to beat yet. Unfinished business, for sure.

We all knew it was going to happen, but it still sucks reading it officially.

In reality though, I do think this was a good deal to make. I think Bayern’s initial bid was £65m. Taking them from that to what looks to be somewhere in the region of £120 (with addons) is pretty crazy. Rare Levy W.

Just wish we didn’t have to wait until probably January now to look at our options for a replacement. I personally don’t think Richarlison is it.

What you’re looking for seems to be blogs. Before YouTube made “vlogging” (video blogging) widespread, many people blogged with text. There’s still tons of useful/entertaining blogs out there depending on your interests.

There’s sites like Medium (https://medium.com) which is a fairly popular centralized service. There’s even Fediverse instanced communities based on software like WriteFreely (https://writefreely.org/instances). Many just have independent blogs around the web, though.
