Even if a socialist world revolution happened in the near future which it wont re-industrializing the imperial core nations wouldnt even be on the to-do list near term. We would be much harder pressed to shrink the entire global economy down and get climate change under control. Most people would be dedicating their time to subsistence activities. We only have maybe a decade before there are mass crop failures everywhere to a scale we cant deal with currently. They already happen but we make do by hiking up prices and letting the poor go hungry. Eventually everyone will need to tighten their belt. Who is exploiting who wont really be a concern anymore itll be more how to we keep deaths to a minimum and what do we do with the 2 billion or so refugees fleeing uninhabitable zones around the equator.

The imperial cores current (stupid) plan is to just villify immigrants and start killing refugees once it gets bad. Thats not only evil but it wont work. The capitalists all think short term they are idiots who dont know how to plan for a centuries long ecological disaster. We are heading towards a global depopulation event of billions of people due to starvation and dehydration, and before that starts it looks like we are gonna do a little WW3 for funsies. The Imperial core will only partially re-industrialize itself which yes theyll be very exploitative in doing. They wont have time to do it fully. Itll mostly be military stuff, and the basics they start to make at home again. Theyll probably loot small nations to steal their equipment and goods and bring it home to their population during the war too. I don’t think the war will end because 1 side wins but because the situation gets so bad with climate change that the imperial core will reassign all its military forces to looting mostly defenceless nations. While countries like Russia, and China will sit at home, and use their militaries to defend themselves and their immediate neighbors.

After that period ends as they use up all the easy targets we will enter into what i call the “Trash Economy” where we are living off the trash of the old economy. Lots of peoples jobs will be to sort trash and recycle it. Even at this point they wont be industrialized again. I think very few nations that exist today will continue in their current form past the next 50 years or so. The ones who survive the famines will reorganize into city-states most likely. The only places that will survive are places that are already preparing to be self sufficient like China, the DPRK, etc.

If somehow a magical world revolution happens tomorrow these challenges dont go away. The imperial core would need massive bailouts from the rest of the world to rebuild their ability to support their own basic needs (Especially Euros. America is actually much better off than Euro Zone nations). But the rest of the world would be too busy preparing to survive whats coming so while i imagine some places could offer help, like China with the BRI, I do not think it would be enough to actually get the imperial core ready, and those nations would mostly collapse. Their populations would flee to other regions or just subsist off the land for a few decades and when the rest of the world got its shit together theyd come help rebuild the regions that collapsed. Which wouldnt just be the Imperial core. A lot of regions will have a complete societal breakdown pretty much no matter what we do at this point.

I have actually seen liberal media speculating on if Russias “Soviet Era” nukes still work. This would not only shut that talk up but demonstrate a willingness to use them. The west wants to be able to bomb Russia and thinks Russia isnt gonna use nukes in response. In order for it to be a deterrent you have to demonstrate you are capable and willing to use them.

Especially when the Allies faction led by the UK doesnt dissolve post-ww2 so literally any war with a colonial state has you getting attacked by every fucking country on earth immediately.

Oh im sure theyd be able to defend themselves just fine. The nukes arent a threat to them in this scenario its that our governments would be saying we will kill all the innocent human civilians if you fuck with us, and the Aliens dont want to see our government genocide us all. So the challenge for them would be how to dismantle the current ruling class without getting a ton of us regular humans killed in the process.

Its not just China that needs to prepare. China wants to make very clear to the rest of the global south that the US is the one pushing for this so that when it happens and China stops holding back and gives the US the bloody nose it deserves most nations will not villify China for defending itself. The US likewise wants to paint China as the aggressors and act like a “good guy”.

I think there is only 1 way to avoid an actual nuclear conflict if this does happen. And thats for Russia to test a nuke. Do it somewhere in siberia or the Arctic where NATO cant get mad. Announce it before hand. and set off a Tsar Bomba level nuke with everyone watching. Remind the world what nukes look like and that you have big ones. Then turn around and say “Now back the fuck off”.

It will show Russia is serious without actually risking a nuclear exchange. Its the only thing that may wake up the Americans and make them realize the type of fire they are playing with.

I find that when people talk about Aliens they tend to think about them as this monolith. If the purpose of coming here was a humanitarian mission i doubt their military is involved. Something akin to the Red Cross would be organizing it. The Red Cross doesnt have a bunch of military technology. If a bunch of people with swords came at them theyd be in danger. Its not the same as the Marine Corps for example. Who have advanced weapons and body armor on while on missions and air support.

Its very likely they arent even allowed to bring high-tech weapons into this solar system the same way you wouldn’t be allowed to bring an AK-47 onto North Sentinel Island.

So assuming that they have the tech they need with them is a bit of a stretch IMO. And who knows how long it would take for them to relay whats going on back to the government, request military support, and get that tech sent out here.

If there really are Aliens here its very likely some Humanitarian Org that is using out of date donated tech thats legally prohibited from having certain things for fear theyd accidentally give it to us. Im sure their military could easily disable every nuke on this planet, but is it so easy for their Red Cross? That im not so sure about.

As for if theyd be used to this sort of thing they may not be. Theres a good chance if this is a species thats more type 2 rather than type 3 and say they’ve explored a quarter of our galaxy that them being around to witness an intelligent species taking its first steps into space has only happened a couple times at most. Its a very small window of time and most more primitive species in the star systems they control probably arent near that window yet.

If i was to speculate on why theyd be taking so long its probably because theyve got some byzantine bureaucracy nightmare going on where theres like 3 different departments who are based thousands of lightyears apart who all have to come to a consensus on what to do. Even if they have FTL communications somehow it isnt necessarily instant either so they may be spending all this time going around getting approval from all the relevant groups lol. Thats not even taking into account if they have laws about like what technology is allowed to be brought into a solar system like ours. If you wanted to not accidentally give humans some crazy ass tech then the best way to do that is to just make a law like “Only tech that is a maximum of 300 years more advanced than the local species may be brought into the solar system” or something like that.

If thats the case they may need to seek approval just to bring more high tech shit in so they can use it to disable the nukes. It would also explain why the things crash sometimes. no AGI allowed in our solar system so the poor Aliens have to actually pilot these relics of ships themselves. From our perspective they may look super advanced but from their perspective its a horse and buggy lmao.

Wild speculation based on the assumption Aliens are real and in UFOs

The Aliens came here to uplift our species and help us get on the right track, kinda like a interstellar humanitarian mission thing and reached out to our governments to let them know why they were here. Then the US government basically said if they interfere in the US capitalist domination of the world that the US would start nuking cities. Basically holding the worlds population hostage in order to maintain their empire. Its the only reason i can think of for why other nations opposed to the US wouldnt just spill the beans, and why Aliens would be here flying around checking shit out and getting spotted all the time.

If super advanced Aliens wanted to be sneaky we wouldn’t see them. So clearly if all the UFOs people see are Aliens they dont give a shit. And they arent doing much of anything. If it is Aliens in this scenario what theyre going would make sense tho cuz they are taking their time examining US military capabilities to make 100% sure they can stop all the nukes before they take action. While also not caring if we see them cuz their whole plan was to come say hi in the first place.

You might think like well they’re super advanced couldn’t they easily disable all the nukes? Maybe. But even if that was the case if your civilization is millions of years old then taking a century or so to decide what to do, and carefully plan things out would make sense. Taking a “Wait and See” approach for the time being.

Its actually really enjoyable to get outside and do some manual labor if its not like so much your bodies being damaged. Its great exercise, and spending time outside and in the dirt and sun is good for your mental health too.
