Yeah, I did both endings on all the difficulties, at least with the default starting item.

Huh, that’s weird. You would think that business had pretty good returns, given that registrars have famously high markup when selling domains.
Currently I just deal with the banners (as annoying as they are) and shed a tear at the state of the modern internet.

In case you didn’t know, the “I don’t care about cookies” extension was recently sold to Avast. I don’t know if anyone has seen them make any sketchy changes yet, but personally I didn’t want to trust them and uninstalled it

I’ve known that software development was what I wanted to do since early in high school, programming has been a large part of my life since then.
I’m working on Ruby on Rails stuff these days, but Python is my true love. I also have a goofy website that I enjoy hacking on.

It’s been too long for me to really have concrete memories of BotW, but at the very least I’ve spent a lot more time in Totk. I didn’t do much more than the sacred beasts before beating the game in BotW, I’ve done way more side content this time around.

You’re right though, it really is a grind. If that aspect takes away from the fun for you, I can totally understand dropping it.
Domain knowledge is a force multiplier. Ideally you would have both lots of domain knowledge and a strong engineering team, but lack of one can be substituted with a lot of effort.
The caveat being that if you have the engineering side, the end result of the effort will probably be a bunch of domain knowledge 😅
I like it so far. The tech seems good, it’s not that hard to wrap your head around the federated aspect, but as always the life and death of a platform like this is in the community. If a decent amount of people decide to come to Lemmy, I think it will be great.
I like to start out any new language with an implementation of Conway’s Game of Life. It’s relatively simple, but tends to exercise a decent bit of the language.
I use kagi. It’s pretty nice, though it’s not free.
I was terrible at the game before I accepted how important defense was. Previously I focused hard of attack power and speed, but then you’re too fragile for unexpected situations. That and much slower more considered pathing are very helpful. Look around at the rest of the level before you move or act because you might be backing yourself into a corner.

Edit: I decided to download the game again and do a run to see if I remembered how to play, and yeah I think my advice there is good. Carefully consider your moves before you make them, defense is very important. One thing that could help is to look up info about what to expect in a given path before going in to know if you can handle the type of stuff that you’ll find in there. Eventually (if you play enough), you’ll memorize them, but for example it can be very helpful to know that you’ll be against a bunch of exploding enemies if you go to the “Volatile” path.
