  • Some people offered very good advices.

    Dota is a “dieing” breed of a MOBA because of the way that the game is balanced and this kind of balancing hurts new players or the old ones with very old strategies that are not working anymore.

    Just accept what are you playing don’t bother yourself by others because you are in the mudy, filthy trench of dota and only luck can get you out of there or heavy perseverance.

    It enters into “dodgeing” manners.

    After you accept the match up there is a timer (25 seconds or something) to connect to the server that the game is played, if you fail to connect in that timer you are going to be assigned with an abandon.

    Dodgeing manner is applied heavly in high rank matchmaking to gain ILLEGAL MMR.

  • Dude you are talking about “Desktop PC”.

    A lot of people have switched to Laptops because they can stay in bed.

    Usually TV content is pretty bad and with the “old Netflix” people got a coffe table to put the laptop on the table and watch movies, youtube, etc.

    Also a lot of people sees Desktop a non necessity because of phones and tablets. In today standards laptops have become really powerful to even code software or even doing photoshoping reliable.

    In the end desktops have become only powerhouses of performances towards gaming, streaming or servers.

    Desktop = gaming(usually in 2023).

    Desktop are not a dieing breed, people changed and bought devices that serves their purposes. Whi should i buy a desktop anymore if a phones does just as good as a desktop in terms of browsing the internet, whatch videos even netflix. In this case desktops have no purpose again(just buy a phone or a tablet).

  • So, why use Linux and support Steam, or use Linux and use Steam?

    Because Steam offers a good service. Almost as good as “hackers”.

    The other problem is game developers that want DRM and blablabla.

    Anyway honestly you sound a little bit way too pathethic. Maybe one day Steam just get’s out of Linux enviroment and goes with the “Steam OS” and you will lose every game you purchesed, but i doubt it because is a gaming platform, as many platforms as possible as much money comes in.
