The best I’ve ever seen an isekai anime handle it is the tensei slime anime, which is all about making a moderately prosperous society in all respects from the “monster” races of the isekai world and defending it against crusading human kingdoms.

There’s also the John Brown Isekai web novel which is exactly what it says on the tin. Chapter 1 he kills a generic isekai anime protagonist expy and frees his slave and it escalates from there.
