Weils mehr Sinn macht. Was is besser, die IP 31.216.144.5 sperren oder von MEGA verlangen dass CSAM gelöscht werden muss? Der “Kinderschutz” ist nämlich immer das vorgeschobene Argument um Sperren durchzubringen wenn aber alle Fakten sagen dass Löschen mehr bringt. So wird wenigstens verhindert dass politisch unliebsames “unabsichtlich” als “Beifang” mit blockiert wird.

Blauzis und Demokratie vertragen sich halt nicht. Und mit Argumenten können sie nicht kommen denn sie haben nie gelernt sich artizukulieren.

Wäre ja auch für die Einführung proportionaler Schwellen ab wann gestraft wird. 25% über dem erlaubten wäre so meine Idee.

Und dann bitte noch Strafen proportional zum Einkommen des Fahrers wie in Finnland.

I don’t see it like that. At least in central Europe (mostly radiating out from Germany) there are a lot. I mean, just look at the Hackerspaces.org list…

Also, Hackerspaces don’t exist in a vacuum. Money is tight, which usually means dwindling membership numbers, which leads to closures. Those complaining about disappearing Hackerspaces are usually those who weren’t members.

Algorithms in Mastodon are rather unlikely, for a couple of reasons.

1. There is no central view. Your home instance could only work on what it can see, so either toots originating there or by someone followed from it.
2. The dev behind Mastodon already stated he doesn’t want algorithms.

I personally like it that way. I prefer that it feels like a Social Network, not something harvesting my attention. My algorithm for finding new accounts to follow are the recommendations of those I’m already following based on their retoots, as I trust that judgement more than that of some unclear algorithm that can be played by clever keywords.
