I’m not really concerned about that.

Sounds like you’re talking about Apple TV+ stream and not the Apple TV box.
Apple TV+ is pretty much only the exclusives they make for the service, they release a few at the movie theaters so they can be eligible for some awards, but other than that you’re only option to watch them is Apple TV+.
The neat thing about the service is… If you don’t want to watch the shows and movies on it, you don’t have to subscribe!
Why are you playing 4k movies on a 1080p projector??? Set the Apple TV box to only play 1080p movies.
If YOU don’t like the content and yet YOU keep paying, I’m not sure how to answer that…
The Apple TV box supports thousands of apps, including the TV app (which is the single app that you’re asking about).
Keep the box.
The price of the watch should be discounted an equivalent amount.
You haven’t said which device you’re using, so I’ll assume iPhone.
In the Audible app (on my iPhone), when playing a book, right above the play button, it says “connect to device”, which then lets me chose “AirPlay & Bluetooth Devices” and I can stream audio directly to my Apple TV.
Not this past week, but there have been a crazy amount of sales lately, especially on complete series.
Check these two a few times a week.

There are always rumors of new ones. Sometimes they’re true, sometimes they’re not.
If you need it, get it.
Ask Siri, “What did they say?” and she’ll rewind 10 seconds, turn captions on, play that 10 seconds, and turn the captions back off.
Did you purchase them? Or are you just eligible to watch the movie because you have Max (or something)?
I have purchased games (jack box) from the App Store to play and they show up on my wired Apple TV but they don’t show on my Apple TV app.
They don’t show up IN the TV app on your Apple TV, so there is no reason to think they’d show up in the TV app on your TV…
The TV app on your TV is not an Apple TV box emulator, it’s just the 1 app (of thousands that you can put on your Apple TV box).
This isn’t very analytical stuff:
That said, other than saving $20, there aren’t any listed reasons for a new one. Did I miss some actual “features?”
There isn’t an option to reset the password?
What page are you trying on-line?
Sounds like you’re not subscribed.
I liked it!
It was not a fast moving show though, I think some people expected more action all the time.
