I have a couple automatics I wear when smart devices are not allowed.
you can set the watch in the watch app under clock to mirror phone alerts. then if you set an alarm on the phone it will also go off on the watch. it doesn’t work the other way though. alarms set on the watch only go off on the watch.

get a sport loop for it. great for small wrists because you don’t have to worry about fitting a hole. you just pull the strap tight and velcro it. and they fit even very tiny wrists.

the watch has been updated beyond the phone’s capacity. that compatibility you looked up was from when the watch 6 was new. a watch that has been updated can’t pair to a phone that won’t run iOS 17.

what color is it? Apple only started selling one size in the box for a sport band in 2022. you used to get an extra band. depends on the color and when it came out.
does it pull hair off like the metal bands do?
I put a film on the screen just for peace of mind but it’s probably not necessary. I’d rather find out the easy way than the hard way and wished I’d put one on.

it can show several variations of count, progress, goal and distance. or just one of those at a time.
for total calories you’ll probably need to add a food intake app. Apple activity focuses on active calories, while passive calories are estimated from your health stats and the time you are not asleep.
I would expect that it’s a bug and will likely drop pretty quickly. or stay incorrect at 100. not even an unused 3 would be at 100 due to a long term drained battery.
