I’ve actually really been enjoying the Warhammer 40k books, started with the Ultramarines omnibus, fun sci Fi fantasy

I feel like most people probably only have this one through the fact that it’s bundled with Comcast lol. I haven’t checked their catalog but I think they have quite a few original shows like the office, parks and rec, 30 rock etc so maybe someone who likes tv sitcoms might be into it
In general, measurements like that of ocean temperature are sea surface temperature. However, the ocean mixed layer (can vary between 10-100 metres) can be typically uniform in temperature and salinity
Also seconding fiio. I’ve had my x3.2 for years and I love it
Buffer like Asta/tingyun/yukong? Or if solo Natasha isn’t enough the March or fire mc
Not technically in tech, I’m an oceanographer but work with numerical modeling so ehhhhh
It’s funny, with the increase in use of numerical models, so much math has been turned into computer code. Derivatives and integrals as well are defined by finite difference formulas that serve as the basis for the notations. The point of them isn’t to explain, it’s just to simplify writing and reading it. I agree it can be a bit obtuse but if you had to write out a for loop to solve a math equation every time it would take forever lol
This is great, thanks for posting, will definitely be checking this out.
I’m sure there’s quite a few traditional board games that have online or app version, like risk for example. Iirc there’s also Scrabble, scythe, Catan, and I’m sure others. I can’t speak to the quality of the apps but I would recommend just searching for any games you’d be interested in playing and seeing if there’s a version on the app store.
Man I love aqua teen. Just found out that the adult swim website does 24 hour marathons of some shows and been watching through metalocalypse too
Of course there’s cycles but even removing decadal trends, it seems like there’s there’s still an increasing trend in terms of intensity. And slower years of extreme events in there could be somewhat related to the climate hiatus period but I’m not 100% on that. And you’re absolutely right that prediction and modeling has gotten substantially better but that doesn’t mean these storms won’t still be costly. It’s an interesting issue for sure
You’re right about this. There’s also been studies done recently that suggest that hurricanes have been intensifying generally in recent years and there will most likely be a continued trend so total frequency will go down but more intense hurricanes will become more common.
I mean I’m pretty sure if you cancel your Netflix subscription it still finishes the current billing period and just doesn’t renew so you can finish watching that show.
Man Kafka looks so cool, I hope we get some more interesting DoT characters soon that she can take advantage of
That’s what I was gonna say, the blackout ended on the 14th and then spez did his ama so I feel like that might’ve been the push people needed to make the change.
Honestly the only friends I still speak to from college I met in my last year. By then maybe you start having the same classes with certain people so it’s easier to introduce yourself or discuss homework. If you still want to meet people the last year or two are the best time to make real connections. But as everyone else has said life tends to open up in different ways after college anyway
