I too come from blender and yeah, MagicaVoxel is not as powerful, but once you get used to it, it’s quite fast to get nice results. I think the most important things are to always set the lighting sky mode to “atmospheric”, which set both nice lighting and generate the sky. For this render, the recipe is kind of:
