  • Unless it’s a new form of snappier and more reliable Touch ID, I think I’ll prefer FaceID. Even with Samsung’s slightly more secure Ultrasonic reader, it’s accuracy and usability is impeded when you have a screen protector on. So if it’s between an optical fingerprint scanner and FaceID, then I’d choose FaceID. UNLESS, Apple decides to be nice and add a fingerprint scanner onto the Lock button

  • My first phone was the Samsung S8+, had an awful experience with Samsung Repair Centre. Then I had the Z Flip 1 which was fine but not exactly the best battery life. Things got worse as I was refused a battery replacement within warranty period due to Samsung’s limited manufacturer’s warranty. Basically, Samsung’s own warranty in Asia wasn’t recognised in Europe. This became a huge pain and cause of stress for me whilst studying for the Bar in UK. Currently have the 14PM, and I gotta say the stability is much appreciated. For those of us with a limited budget unable to constantly change phones yearly, the stability in terms of phone performance and after sales service is appreciated. I now have a phone that I know just works and if something goes wrong? Just book a Genius appointment and walk into my nearest Apple Store or Official Reseller. When you’re aging, and need to be focusing more on work and your life, having a phone that just works and an almost guaranteed standardised level of after sales service is everything!
