Would that generate remotely enough power?
Uhoh
Some of this could (and frankly should) be achieved via nginx, tbh
Theyve been sending federation events with times far into the future. So far that it breaks the lemmy frontend. Theyre federated, so obviously it breaks it on every instance
Thanks.
Agreed
This is absolutely excellent. What I’ve been looking for for years, honestly
Any chance of an RSS feed based on it? Or some form of open API?

Yup, i know
I actually already have, but its meshed in with a bunch of other edits that havent made it to a new version yet. Ill endeavour to do one anyway soon, so you can have this, sorry!
Slide? Hmm :D
Pixefed already does challenge instagram, by poaching users for its network. Likewise masto/twitter and lemmy/reddit. The product is the users and the content they generate, and thats easy to siphon from. Peertube doesnt challenge youtube/twitch though, because the product there is the big channels, and they wont jump ship without there already being a lot of users for audience, and users wont jump ship without there being lots of big channels to use. Theres a catch-22 from the very start, even with financial incentives to steer gradients
Too complicated a model, I just don’t see it happening in a way that would remotely challenge youtube/twitch
