i like them both but i can see how users would prefer Lemmy’s UI as it reminds them more of Reddit (this is just what i’ve heard a lot on this m).
I still prefer kbin.
Dva ;)

you’re right - if those on the sub do happen to have met their end, at least it was done in pursuit of their dream?
I mean it’s great to offer feedback. But I agree that anything close to some weird ultimatum on like, two people, for their own pet project is a bit much guys. I know we’re all better than that!
It’s not that I don’t remember all the trolling that has happened since the Internet’s inception (I was there) it’s just that it used to have its time and place and people used to respect that, Reddit included. If you didn’t want to see the toxicity, you just didn’t visit those subs. It only started bleeding into everything else within the recent past.
reddit was amazing a decade ago. dunno what all happened but it became a cesspool of toxicity and abuse of power that i was just waiting for another alternative to come along and save us OGs from.
ha!!! you are.
well i am making a point to not go to reddit anymore so i’m glad people post here about what’s happening during the blackout etc here so i can see it.
hear, hear! i don’t miss all the spam and bots.
afaic, anyone still with Reddit after all this should stay there. I’d love to have the Fediverse as a tinier space for tech minded, power users.
who cares about that toxic place? be free of it brother.
no wonder they want us back in office
they see these types of posts and think we’re all faff offs
i think youtube is doing much better than reddit
yup, i am here because third party apps or no, Reddit was just a horrible place to be anymore. i’m loving the ‘wild wild west’ of similar apps and a new social network i’d never experienced before.
build it yourself, bro. lol - j/k. my one friend went to Origin, my other friend went to CyberPowerPC. Both had good experiences.
lol yep it’s funny: Reddit is unironically saving the Internet. It’s become pretty much 3-5 main sites and that’s it. In the 90s I had about a million different forum bookmarks, chat rooms and communities I was a part of. i’m feeling very comfortable having kicked reddit out of my life and gone back to that.
basically every thread i was apart of.
wow so one of them actually knows how it feels to just have all agency taken away without warning or good reason
