Grand Admiral Thrawn makes his return in the form of a 3.75 action figure, as he and two of his closest allies join Hasbro’s Star Wars The Vintage Collection toy line in a three-pack celebrating a classic Legends novel. The major Star Wars antagonist made his debut in Timothy Zahn’s 1991 novel “Heir to the Empire,” as he returns to the known galaxy to unify a fractured Empire following the death of Emperor Palpatine. In 2016, Thrawn returned to canon as a Star Wars Rebels antagonist portrayed by Lars Mikkelsen, who reprised the role in live-action for 2023’s Ahsoka.

As Star Wars’ “Gift The Galaxy” program continues to unveil new merchandise, Hasbro has unveiled their latest addition to The Vintage Collection 3.75 action figure line. Inspired by Zahn’s “Heir to the Empire” trilogy, the set includes three individually carded figures in the line’s iconic retro-inspired packaging that includes Grand Admiral Thrawn, his Imperial comrade Captain Gilad Palleaon, and the maddened Jedi Master clone J’oruus C’baoth rendered in the current highly-articulated style of the figure line.
