I created a new community/magazine for British/UK comedy discussion - sitcoms, stand-ups, etc.
One of the below should work, I’ve found that pasting the URL into search works best for Lemmy:
!ukcomedy
!British Comedy@fedia.io
A shame it wasn’t created here in feddit.uk.
Bring it home!
Indeed.
I imagine there’ll be a facility to move communities between instances (I believe you can move your.profile in Mastodon, so it’s available as part of the underlying structure, just not enabled yet.
Yes, sorry, I didn’t want to have to log into a different account to do moderation - federated moderating doesn’t appear to work across Lemmy/Kbin yet.
Ah thats a real shame if thats the case. Do you know if it only applies to the original mod, as I have seen users from other instances being added as mods to communities.
It looks like it works on Lemmy, across Lemmy instances, but not on Kbin in either direction. I don’t have a Lemmy account except a couple of bot accounts on feddit.uk. When this is fixed, or there’s an app which works for both Kbin and Lemmy (I’ve signed up to test one) and notifies me, I’ll be more open to running communities on Lemmy. Maybe it can be moved later.
