It’s my nickname amongst my friends and round the pub (some of whom don’t know my birth name) to the point you could go into my local and ask for the Emperor and someone would point you in the eight direction. So when I signed up online, it made sense to use this name and it has since became my nom-de-plume and is, in effect, my Common Law name.
