I’m so happy to see River getting some love, Hyprland is cool, but River is cool too, and it deserves more love.
@theshatterstone54 unfortunately, river still lacks quite a few features I was used to from dwm but no wm on wayland was able to provide them fully (minimizing windows, taskbar, attachbelow, stack of tiled windows etc.) I really love river for what it is and so far it has been a great experience.
For attachbelow, it’s a configuration option. For taskbar, I dont know. I don’t use minimise, but it might be available (the options are at the manual pages for riverctl and rivertile). What do you mean by stack of tiled windows?
@theshatterstone54 Stack of tiled windows is something akin to monocle layout but not taking the whole screen, just a part of it (in dwm, it is called deck and i3/sway have it, I believe)
@theshatterstone54 I looked, attachbelow isn’t an option. attachbottom is but that is something slightly different, in any case, I have got used to it. Minimizing and taskabar unfortunately aren’t an option. I do think that as river matures (and is perhaps rewritten in something not Zig) it will get more options and become radically better over time.
