    pseudo-idyllic Edwardian childhood signifiers

I spotted: 4 all-year-round Christmas trees, 1 rocking horse that has probably not been rocked in 80 years and 1 vintage pram.

Christmas stockings hung over the fireplace in the original hall. Pony club rosettes pinned above the window in the “child’s” bedroom.

Christmas stockings hung over the fireplace in the original hall.

Ah yes, I spotted the stockings and had a horrible feeling they counted as part of the furnishings.

So there are. If I am getting the house’s orientation right, there is a stables not fat behind it that has a lot of ponies for kids to ride, so it’s possible there is someone into horses in the household.

The flamingos head jutting out of the wall is more difficult to explain.

Yeah, if the rest of the house weren’t so stagey I’d take the child’s room & rosettes at face value. It just feels like an attempt to sell an idea.

Spotted a second rocking horse, beyond the grey modular sofa which overlooks the steps down to the swimming pool.

I missed that - good eye. Although, It doesn’t look like a rocking horse, more like a statue or big toy (my niece has a few like that).
