In all fairness, he’s not a bad democratic choice. He’s a mid tier president who has been able to get a good amount of things done in spite of not having a supportive congress or judicial system.
To say it’s the only positive thing about him is to play into the hands of republicans.
Biden is not the president I wanted but he is certainly the president that I have willingly accepted. Not the whole radical I wanted but still getting a lot done.
I would like to think if he was given a democratic house and senate (as Trump had), he’d be able to get much more done. That is wishful thinking though…
I have outlawing railway workers from striking and a string of upswings related to student loan forgiveness that are systemically struck down by the judicial and legislative branches, because he just needs the announcement, and the average American stopped paying attention before the forgiveness was delivered.
Getting out of Iraq was a highlight, that has been completely negated by getting into the genocide of the Palestinian people, the new conflict with the Houthi, and a few other not widely reported new military engagements.
Edit: also, I’m not a fucking republican. I am an American Liberal. Stop invoking Republicans when I was talking about the state of the Democrat party.
“Why aren’t you wasting your time typing a response I can flippantly ignore? This interaction is supposed to cost time for you, not me. I have other threads to post this same shit and only so many hours in a day.”
Keep in mind, I’m saying he’s mid tier. Trump had both house and senate when he was first elected and could barely get anything done. He certainly was able to destroy the Supreme Court (along with women’s rights) and cut taxes on the wealthy with that.
I think a lot of the negatives being assigned to Biden are not even his fault. They are unfortunate situations that he has had to react to, and has done so as good if not better than any other president would have.
Inflation? No way can you consider this his fault. If anything, Trump cutting corporate end executive taxes has contributed more to the inflation.
Ukraine? It’s an unfortunate situation started by Putin invading one of our allies. Not Biden’s fault. Our support in Ukraine has been bipartisan in addition to being relatively minor in cost. Somebody like Bush would have sent American troops to die. Biden has kept our support merely financial. And we aren’t the only country supporting them.
Israel? Another unfortunate situation that can’t be blamed on Biden. A country we have been giving bipartisan support to for decades has finally snapped and used that support for evil (as we all suspected it would the whole time). Even Trump contributed by moving the US embassy to Jerusalem. While Biden has contributed, he is a very minor part of this situation and can only react to it.
As for the accomplishments he made so far with only a majority senate and a hostile house. Here’s a partial list. The optimist in me says when he has control of the house and senate, he may accomplish actual progressive legislation. Maybe some Supreme Court justices will die retire.
Edit: I forgot that Biden started his term with both senate and house in Democratic control. I was wrong to imply this was different from Trump’s presidency.
To your edit. You don’t have to be a Republican to play directly into the hands of the Republicans. Biden is not the liberal we want, but our election system is built with a conservative bias, so this is the best we can get.
Republicans want you to throw out the baby with the bath water. Stay home on Election Day. Vote for “None of the above”. Convince other liberals that things will only get better if we allow Republicans to control everything. This is the way we lose even more rights and endanger our future elections.
You have been given substantial evidence of the accomplishments of Biden. To say Biden have achieved nothing is merely putting your feelings before facts.
Democrats have presented stronger economies for 40 years. These are facts provable with numbers and cannot be denied. Granted you are still able to willfully ignore all that however when you don’t choose Biden for a better world for everyone you are only hurting yourself. This planet is already on fire and many people are just clinging to survive and you can only think yourself. Upon that route, we all die more uncomfortably.
And your alternative to voting for either of the two parties in a two-party system is?
Between someone complacent in a genocide and someone who actively wishes to accelerate said genocide, the lesser evil is voting for the former. Or, one could vote third party and exercise some mental gymnastics to feel like they are morally superior while effectively doing nothing to solve the problem.
People who ignore everything they don’t care about in order to pretend others are extremists… Both sadden and amuse me. You’re setting the bar so low for what discourse is that it’s pathetic.
Anyone who thinks avoiding Trump is the most important thing in American politics? Yes we all simply love genocide. It makes us so happy.
When your moronic antics reelect Trump, he definitely will defy his promises and end all present and future genocides though
You can’t see the basic logic of how the elections work in America and that is your issue, not mine. Go ahead and campaign for trump. It’s truly sad when it’s a toss up between “this person is lying in order to get trump elected” and “this person is a fucking moron who actually thinks that a third party would ever ever even get close to a win in America”
“I’m not Trump.”
The only positive thing about the only Democrat choice for president.
In all fairness, he’s not a bad democratic choice. He’s a mid tier president who has been able to get a good amount of things done in spite of not having a supportive congress or judicial system.

This is a good answer.

Okay. Let me humble up.
Please share what he has done.

If you ignore a bunch of stuff yeah Biden is is just another warmonger neoliberal, and you seem like you are cherry picking to drive a narrative
Dont throw an NPR link at me.
Tell me what he has done that you have confirmed isn’t horse shit.
It’s uhhhh
Conveniently listed in the link
Did NPR give you an IP ban or something?
“Why aren’t you wasting your time typing a response I can flippantly ignore? This interaction is supposed to cost time for you, not me. I have other threads to post this same shit and only so many hours in a day.”
Yeah lol
“What has he done?”
“Not like that. Wah wah wah.”
You’re very picky about sources for someone who hasn’t provided any.

I mean, he does a pretty good job of outlining his first term major accomplishments right on his website…https://joebiden.com/accomplishments/
Just like Trump has a manifesto of the evil shit he wants to do called Project 2025 on his.
*crickets chirping*
Crickets chirping intensifies.
He went back and got the railroad workers sick days…did u miss that?
He got Medicare to negotiate for prescription drugs…forget that?
He got us out of Afghanistan.
He’s brought back a strong market.
He worked directly on gas prices.
He’s fighting for higher min wage.

I vote on the merits of my party. Not out of paranoia about the other party.
I was a Democrat. Democrats used paranoia about Republicans to move far right.
I don’t have a party to vote for anymore.
That simple.

Not a big fan of Joe either, but I’d very much rather have him than Trump.
Thank you for expressing your severely limited view of American politics.
Happy you’ve taken on genocide as something that is cool as long as it isn’t Trump doing it.
What an incredibly good faith arguer you are
Thank you for recognizing it.
Thanks for not recognizing sarcasm 😂😂🤡🤡

Not true, but if it was, would still be a compelling selling point

Third party delusional eh?
Don’t understand the electoral college or fptp voting eh?
Tell me how a 3rd part gets to 270 ec votes…I’ll wait.
It sounds like you are calling me an idiot for making the same point you are. Nice.
Sucking a big ol fat genocidal cock, eh?

That’s a pretty big positive, though.
