The former shadow home secretary deleted the tweet over migrant deaths after just over an hour. A Conservative MP has accused her of “exploiting a tragedy” for political gain.

Did you read the context? She was basically quoting a Tory.

These migrant deaths are Tory immigration policy.

Whilst it is indeed the fault of the Tories imo, she is just an absolutely awful politician from a PR point of view and I have no idea how she’s made it this far.

The only thing I can think of is that she’s always been a convenient ‘sacrificial lamb’ that managed to escape the sacrifice (most of the time).

My lord she seems to be an idiot.

And yet the tory MP who she was quoting has faced no consequences.

Consider for a moment the difference in public response to vile comments from the right and then an MP on the left using those exact same comments to highlight the barbarism of the right.

Only one political side is hamstringing themselves with illusions of decorum, and the other side is running circles around them by exploiting it.

Yep. I’m in no way defending the Tories here, or saying it’s right that she’s the only one to be called out. Just commenting on how idiotic this woman seems to be (no idea whether she actually is or not).

She was quoting a tory. And that article seems to be taking every oppertunity to use the event for political gain.

Stamer removed the whip. Yet somehow he is responsible for a previose leader selecting her before her comments. Somehow the comments from boris in the past before every tory ran an election with him. And the majority chose him to be pm. Is not a reason to question there ability to lead.
