I just think it’s funny how all this X flavored ramen almost never has any animal products in it, and apparently every company has their own idea of what herbs and spices chicken tastes like shrug-outta-hecks

Nah, I’m not sure if the area I live in is just too white, the store I goto carries chicken, beef, pork and soy. Every other store nearby has rich people ramen and I’m not paying $2/ea for noodles.

I have the same issue, like even ramens that aren’t meat flavored still shove some beef extract or bonito flakes in.

When I can find it, Ramen Express brand noodles are certified vegan and vegetarian (on the packaging it only says vegetarian), and when I’ve gone to my small local asian market I’ve found some good noodles without animal products.

Nong Shim makes at least a couple of explicitly vegan ramen noodle flavors that are pretty good, Soon Veggie and Shin Noodles. You can order this stuff online also if it doesn’t exist in stores near you, but they do tend to be a little more than brands like Nissin.
