He was elected basically on the promise he would do that since Brazil used to own all of it before. He nationalized it and payed Brazil in some agreement that he made with Lula da Silva.

Seems like just the best Global South SocDem to me… due to his economic policies, pro-labor union, pro-revolutionary progress, and anti-imperialism… Not a DemSoc however
