The only disappointing thing about this whole situation is that shit managed to get a draw against Brentford right after Kane left. I was hoping the bees would put those miserable gits to the sword. Oh well. I still think they are going to struggle this season and finish outside the top 7. They won’t get relegated, but the lower they end up, the better.

They seem to be targetting high potential players and putting them on sub 100k wages for looong periods. The thing is, surely if you’re a player who thinks you’re gonna be a star, you back yourself to be worth significantly more in a few years. So either these players will kick up a fuss in a few years as soon as they turn good, or they’ll be overpaid mediocre players on decade long contracts.

From their perspective, the alternative is that they will guarantee resale value I guess? Cuz if they turn out mediocre, you still get a bit of money out of them and they can’t go on a free.

Not convinced by it but we’ll see. I think the way it will be judged in future will be dependent on how well Chelsea have done their scouting tbh, as dumb as that is.

Explains why he rejected Liverpool tbf. Can’t blame the guy with how his background is, he needs the money.

Someone know of that thing that compares players’ stats and finds a list of the most similar players in terms of profile?

If you do, please get a list of Thomas Partey analogues.
