"Today’s violence in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood was abhorrent, and blocking access to a place of worship is unacceptable, said Mayor Karen Bass. "l’ve called on LAPD to provide additional patrols in the Pico-Robertson community as well as outside of houses of worship throughout the city. lIl be meeting with (interim) Chief (Dominic) Choi tomorrow to further discuss the safety of Angelenos.
For anyone wondering why this Synagogue was the site of a protest:
They arrived apparently in response to a real estate event that promised to provide the latest information on “housing projects in all the best Anglo neighborhoods in Israel,” according to an advertisement that appeared in the June 21 issue of the Jewish Journal.
I guess they need a Jewish guy named Yehoshua to flip tables, kick out the moneychangers and whip them.
They wouldn’t recognize him
I wonder why the majority of the US news media is neglecting to mention this highly relevant fact 🤔
I sourced that snippet directly from the article which is a US news source…
Yes, to be fair I now see the LA Times did mention it. Fair play to them, as I’ve read several articles about this incident and this the first time I’ve seen the reason for the protest actually included in the article.
Here’s video of Pro-Palestinian protestors getting attacked right in front of LAPD and they do nothing… https://x.com/GerardDalbon/status/1805267120910995566
selling stolen property but doing it in a church so that you can complain when people protest outside
If you hold your Nazi meeting at a Dairy Queen, and people show up to protest your Nazism, the news article should not be about the disgraceful attacks on Dairy Queen. When they are, and nobody mentions the reason why the protest was actually there, it is blatant propaganda. The fancy new term being “fake news”.
