Appreciate all the questions about instance in English and other languages! NeoDB UI is already available in English, but unlike Mastodon, it also has a catalog of books/movie/etc, and we have some improved localization capability upcoming. If you are adventurous, dev instance https://eggplant.place is upgraded, the front page catalog is now mostly in English. Obviously, since most existing users on flagship using Chinese, it may take a while to see more reviews in different languages.

          I’ve just logged into my neodb account and the stuff I’ve added is now all in English! So no migration necessary.

              I’m holding fire until a few more English-language language instances roll out so I don’t have to import it all again as I will have quite a lot of data eventually.

    I cant find a ton on anime, manga and manhwa titles on neodb. Can you connect to mangaupdates, anidb and myanimelist (MAL) for easy import?

      Good question! I don’t know, but expanding the range of importable sources would definitely be within the scope of future and viable improvements. Worth raising it as an issue with the devs.

      Not that I’m aware of but it seems like the kind of thing that is going to get added quickly once this takes off outside China.
