In fact I would argue the opposite; if less people feel safe taking other modes of transit because of e bikers flying around being dickbags, wouldn’t you agree that drives people towards cars? The safer and easier and more accessible non-car infrastructure is for everyone in all modes of transit the more likely people will choose a non car mode of transit. That’s just common sense. You’re not doing the service to bike infrastructure that you think you are
