My guess is the photo is from Australia. The load on the roof implies it, and it kind of looks like Inskip Point, getting onto the Fraser Island ferry.
I could be way off and it’s somewhere completely different. But it’s a memorable vibe and part of the world I obv won’t forget.
These are actually a bit of a cult classic in Australia. Very desirable, great 4wd campers.
I see them around the US as well. But, not many. They’re really expensive relative a common domestic 4WD van.
Japanese cars are more expensive than American here also.
