It is at a slightly cheaper value than YouTube Premium in my country and offers multiple games and few apps. Though the quality of the games are sometimes poor (I think Apple Arcade has some exclusive games for itself something which Play Pass lacks) and apart from apps like Tasker or KWGT, one would be hard pressed to find a good dev offering for apps in general.
If you buy subscriptions for anything other than your internet connection and/or your phone data services, you’re part of a massive modern problem
Any company that moves their services to subscription models loses my business
Only caveat for me is music. Everything at my fingertips and new releases and all that is awesome.
While I agree music service has a lot of good things about it, it is not good for the long term. Lesser known artists are not paid that much, it is endless billing for something you’ll never own and it will only ever cost you more year over year. I would considering using music streaming for artist discovery and playlist creation rather than a long term plan for music listening. Look into bandcamp and artist pages you love to find where you can buy your favorites of their music because when music streaming becomes unsustainable, and it will, you won’t be left with nothing.
That’s why I attempt to sync my library to locally hosted as best I can haha. Too many times some awesome obscure song has just… Poof. Gone.
For game subscription services, I use a month as a ‘taster’ and then buy games outright that will keep me busy for months. Paying for a subscription in perpetuity isn’t worth it for my gaming, but admittedly, I’m a millennial that grew up before online gaming et al.
This is how all subscription should be handled unless they are critical to your daily life. Good advice!
