Wild isn’t it

Edit:

Ok I misread the data but I am leaving this post. I compared Linux desktop share to Firefox all platform share

      Linux is the kernel.

You can define terms however you like and treating Android as Linux is a choice - though I would agree - not a good one. It depends what point you’re trying to make. I can’t tell what point the OP is trying to make. By most reasonable definitions, there are more people browsing the web with Firefox than browsing with Linux so the title is wrong.

Ah - and I see the OP has edited to say they just misread the stats. So there was no point.

I mean, maybe I’m gonna sound like that weird copypasta, but when people say Linux they mean GNU/Linux and stuff inspired by it, like Alpine. On desktop also X11 or Wayland and the usual set of tools.

Android is neither of that, so no, when you say Android is Linux, you’re wrong, because you’re ignoring what people mean by saying something is Linux.

If you truly want to mention Linux with Android, you can say that Android uses a Linux kernel (heavily modified, one might add).
