The most immediate example I can think of was called “Subverse,” which was directly advertised as some sort of anti-SJW (I think it was called that at the time because woke/DEI weren’t quite in common use yet) awooga pandering game where you played some boring ego insert that had a space harem that marked as many safe dopamine boxes for boring nerds as possible to pander to freeze-gamer gaters and cater to their cooming needs.

The game was boring. Full stop. It was boring. The gameplay itself was shallow and uninspired, and even the le sexy sex scenes were boring according to the general assessment of the very same treat hogs it was targeted to pander toward.

“Yandere Simulator” would count if that steaming pile of irradiated shit ever actually got completed. It was like Star Citizen for kiddie creeping weeb gooners, but less profitable.

    The problem the reactionaries have is that they can’t write fictional sexy content without it becoming kink while at the same time they view all kink as leftist/sjw unless it is straight “traditional” pandering shit. They make an exception for this when they’re consuming it as pure pornography, like hentai or whatever, because your porn consumption is “secret” and that’s ok. Liking femboys or queer or bdsm or ntr cuckoldry hentai is fine in that “secret” consumption. But outside of that? BAD. Kink is not something REAL MEN do.

    So when they put anything sexual outside the “secret” porn setting, it becomes bland and boring as fuck.

    This is some sort of shame thing going on. It ultimately relinquishes all sexuality in media outside of pornography to the left. awooga Eye candy is probably the only thing they allow or have going in most of their games, and even then it’s kinda dull, boring, and uninspired. Men in full suits of armour while women wear bikini-armour, that kind of thing. But that’s not the same thing as a raunchy scene that actually tries to do something interesting.

    You could write some really good stuff that panders to them but they’d be embarrassed and ashamed about it and would have extremely mixed emotions about it being more than their “secret” porn. Because, let’s be real, they have a lot of kinks that aren’t just vanilla trad cath shit. They’re just ashamed of it.

      Oh yeah, I used to want to make a homemade mst3k riff track for God is not Dead. I never saw it, but I remember so much of how it was described to me. An atheist professor winds up going to Hell through his pride and refusal to accept Jesus. Some Muslim girl realizes Jesus is the prophet that she is compelled by faith to follow. The atheist guy gets pwnd in class by some Christian student. He was also an atheist because he was “mad at God”, something about God didn’t save his mother from dying. Anyway, this needs 2 nerds explaining fallacies and making counter arguments, thus all who hear it will give up their superstitious world views and take up the cause of rationality.

        I hadn’t heard that but I’m really not surprised. The YandereDev guy had no relevant skills for making a game and as I understand it relied heavily on just copying tutorials and getting people from his discord to do bits and pieces of it for him, same with the art being free assets and stuff he got his “fans” to make for him.

        it’s because, again, chuds only have skin deep understanding of everything. They don’t understand eroticism at all, they just go “big tits, big hips, this good” this is honestly very visible in any porn game or some such that allows you to create the characters, all of them are incredibly uninspired buckets filled with all the things they think are hot, with no rhyme or reason.

        I’m reminded of coming across a rule 34 animation that didnt actually show anything nsfw, it just implied sex. It was a clever work with camera angles, shadows and paper walls. There were so many chuds really fucking mad for “being deceived” it was hilarious

              My tidbit to add is that when the Mongols got to Europe and encountered stone castles that were harder to siege, they solved the problem by bringing in seige engineers…from China.

              They were doing that stuff on the reg. One of their demanded tributes was, essentially, skilled workers as slaves. They were very aware that they had a very particular skillset that didn’t translate well to everything. So they took what they needed to run their empire and put it wherever it was needed - even if it was someone who knew how to e.g. do algebra.

    Maybe ashes of the singularity, the engine is amazing, it had so much potential. But the story is brainworms, and even if you buy that, it’s bland and uninteresting.

    In the end it didn’t get the attention it could have had. Yes, part of that was the insane system requirements, but it was also the dog shit packaging.

            on an unrelated note, there is a new show about the Nautilus and crew that so far one episode in is extremely based and depicts the british and the East India company specifically as the evil fucks they are and it rules. I wish we got more high budget retellings of the classics that acknowledge the terrible shit of the era in which they were written.
