The 2010s were a good decade for horror, producing some of the genre’s most innovative and boundary-pushing movies. The genre was revitalized with a resurgence in both quality and creativity. However, a handful of horror gems flew under the radar and didn’t receive the appreciation they deserved.

From the chilling internet scares of Unfriended: Dark Web to the claustrophobic terror of Green Room, where a punk band fights for survival against a group of neo-Nazis, these movies show the diversity, depth, creativity and quality of 2010s horror.

Was Let Me In really underrated? I remember it getting a lot of attention, especially in contrast to Let the Right One In

It’s a tricky one with such objective criteria - perhaps you could argue it’s underrated because it got so damningly compared to the original and isn’t so bad when looked back on. Personally, I think it is probably rated just right.

Green Room, The Loved Ones and The Autopsy of Jane Doe are must-watches as far as I’m concerned.

The only one I haven’t seen is Demon, although it’s been on my radar for a while. I’ll try and get it watched soon.
