I’m having an excellent time with Jerboa.
I’m using Jerboa too. However, since I am subscribed to some sublemmes from my mastodon account, I might occasionally use Tusky aswel to write comments.
The font size in Jerboa is way too big right now, it’s not a good experience. There’s an issue on their GitHub and apparently this is a bug in their markdown parser. I’ll give it another shot once they fix that, but for now, I just use my instance from a mobile browser and it’s not half bad. “Reddit bad” memes aside, Lemmy’s mobile UI is actually pretty good… unlike Reddit’s.
You probably know, but just in case not - you can adjust the text size in Jerboa in the settings :-)
I’ve decreased the don’t size on step, which makes comments just a bit too large, and other text a bit too small 😄 I am not complaining though, it’s totally fine
Hi, thought I’d come back to this to let you know that version 0.0.33 alpha has been released and the text size is working a lot better now :-)
There’s been an update (0.33 - on github) that has fixed the font size issue for me.
I think there are only two and I’m using Jerboa because it’s available on F-Droid.
I hope that the development will ramp up on the application, it needs a UI work over. I can’t even choose my default settings for sorting.
What is the name of the other app?
It’s called Lemmur. But it’s not actively developed
I was incorrect, I missed that it was only for Android. Mlem is the second app but for iOS.
Is there anything else other than Jeroba?
Right now I have Jeroba and Lemmy.ml “installed” as an app through firefox.

Lemmur is discontinued & Jerboa is stable enough after the last update.

Jerboa. I am really hopeful for its development. Each release is going to get a lot of fixes and improvements. It is a satisfying feeling to see software grow and improve.
That’s good to hear, I’ve also just realised that the app is also very recently updated. Whereas the other app was last updated last year.
I made a firefox fullscreen shortcut for my instance of lemmy. I prefer it to jerboa personnally
Agree jerboa is nice & clean & stable enough considering it’s still in alpha.
This is the way for now. I haven’t tried Jerboa but why bother when the Lemmy web UI is already minimalistic
Jerboa has nice features and display than the web version.
How long until Lemmy wants $20 million a month from Jerboa? ;-)
