I’ve spent the last year learning Linux and coding, I had used windows for years and only used Ubuntu 12 for very short stints, and as for coding i was clueless, now ive a basic understanding but im getting there. Anyway thank you to all the maintainers, devs and community
Sway
Cool. What keyboard r u using
Wvkbd, its serviceable
I’m glad that I read this comment. I have an old HP tablet running debian and I couldn’t find a useable wayland keyboard when I looked for one a few years ago.
I just installed wvkbd and I’ll be putting together a sway setup this weekend. Thanks!
I have a simple bash script https://github.com/squid-slime/sway/ your free to repurpose it, hides vkb when kb is present and shows vkb when removed
Ooh, that’s nice! I’m saving that for my next linux tablet upgrade. Right now, I’m limping along with an old HP Stream 7. It satisfies the basic goal of being a functional tablet, but attaching a physical keyboard to it is an act of penance.
Never heard of it. Thanks
How do u bring it up
I use a bash script that uses swayipc to detect if keyboard is present/disconnected, the script sends signal to wvkbd to show/hide
So itll be shown all the time? Could i send the signal with a command
